Lesson 5.
Hear, my child, the ad-vice of a fa-ther, and at-tend
to my words, for I give you good coun-sel; for-sake not
ye my law. 1 was my fa-ther's child, ten-der and dear
in the sight of my mo-ther: he taught me al -so, and said
un-to me: Get wis-dom, for-get it not, love her, and
she shall keep thee from e-vil.
With all thy soul love God a-bove.
And as thy-self thy neigh-bour love.
Lesson 6.
En-ter not in-to the path of the wick-ed, and go not
in the way of e-vil do-ers; a-void it, pass not by it,
turn from it, and pass a-way; for they sleep not ex-cept
they have done mis-chief, and have caused some to fa 11;
but the path of the just is as the shining light, that shi-
neth more and more un-to the per-fect day.
Lesson 7.
My child, at-tend to my words, in-cliue thine ear un-
to my say-ings; let them not de-part from thy mind; keep
them in the midst of thy heart, for they are life to those
who find them; keep thy heart with care, for out of it
are the is-sues of life; put a-way from thee a fro-ward
mouth, and per-verse lips put far from thee. Love God
