None but God can tell what is to come; do not pry
into what is not yet here, but wait; God will be sure to
do well, He does know what is best [for us, and He will
not love us, when we are bad.
Lesson 34.
()! go not in the way of bad men, but in the patli of
the just; the way of bad men will lead them to woe,
l)ut the way of the good will lead to joy.
Play not with a boy or girl that will say an ill word;
with such a one have not to do, nor go in the path of
such; be good to all, and so will all who see you love you.
Quit the path of sin, for it will lead you to the pit
of woe; be good, and pray to gain tlie love of God,
so will He help you on in the way to Iiis joy.
Lesson 35.
This life is not long, but the life to come has no end;
tlien be sure to have much care you live well in this,
tiiat God may give you joy in the next, when time will
be no more.
We must try to love all men who do not love us, as
well as them that do; hurt no one, but pray for sucli as
liatc you, and try to make them love you.
Ye, that arc high in this life, fear the Lord; for He
gave you all you have, and He can take it from you,
higli and low, rich and poor. 0 ! love and fear God,
for lie is good to all, who love and fear him.
Lesson 36,
My son, walk not in thy own way, but in the ways
of the Lord, Use your time well, and God will love you.
